Today I’m excited to highlight CDMS’ first success story- Dion and Wavelin.
Dion and Wavelin were both praying and looking for a specific list of qualities in a spouse. They both came across CDMS, and signed up.
Part of signing up of for CDMS is filling in a very detailed form about what you are looking for in your future spouse and family. Dion and Wavelin took it seriously and wrote very detailed answers. The beautiful thing is that the qualities both had written and prayed for exactly matched each other.
Wavelin wrote: “I want to have a holy and happy marriage that is centered on God. I would love to get involved in church as a couple in choir or a worship group and have a good spiritual family. I am open to someone who is willing to prioritize prayer and the spiritual life of our family. You should contact me if you are looking for a caring and humble spouse, someone who is patient, kind and loving, if you enjoy singing in the choir, praise and worship group or involved in church and hope to have a marriage rooted in Christ.”
People told Wavelin, “It’s way too difficult to find the person you’re looking for.”
But close friends who shared her faith encouraged and supported Wavelin in waiting for the right guy and not rushing to just get married to anyone.
When Wavelin saw Dion’s profile and after meeting him, she noticed how important music was to him, how prayerful he was and when they met she liked how he talked about his services for the Church.
Dion had written: “I’m looking for someone who is in the Lord (Christ centred) so that we can serve together as a family and ministry, a partner who believes in Prayer, Humility, someone who has a loving nature. You should contact me If you too like Worship Music, and if you looking out for a down to earth Spouse, and you want to build a healthy and prayerful Family.”
It’s like they were writing about each other!
When Dion joined CDMS, he very carefully read through all the profiles. He kept coming back to Wavelin’s profile. He reached out to Wavelin and they began to get to know each other. Both felt God confirming that they should be together.
At the beginning of 2023, Dion and Wavelin shared with me the news that they were getting ready to be married. In December, I was honored not only to attend their wedding with my family, but also to raise the toast at their wedding.
I think their wedding is a testament to God’s faithfulness and guidance, and the good fruit of being obedient to His inspiration and calling. I hope Dion and Wavelin’s story can give you all hope in your wait.
