1. Respond to every message you get:
It’s tempting to make a quick judgment or write someone off by looking at a profile. But a profile is just a group of words and a photo. You can’t really know if you have a connection with someone until you talk to them. Also, it’s very discouraging to someone who sends a message when noone is willing to even have a conversation.
2. Send a lot of messages:
Many of us are so used to being passive, scared to make the first move, and hoping that someone will drop out of the sky, or at least approach us first. But if EVERYONE is waiting… no one is talking! Sure, not all can be THE right one, but you can have many interesting conversations and even figure out what you DON’T want by talking to a variety of people. You have to be courageous, and take risks, if you want to live a life of beauty and adventure, rather than settling for mediocrity.
3. Send personalized messages:
Show the person you are messaging that you are thoughtful and interested enough that you actually read their profile and that you’re not just sending out generic messages to a bunch of people. It doesn’t take that much effort to write “I notice that you like… I do too!” Or “I’d love to hear more about
4. Update your profile and make it interesting:
A good quality photo gives a good impression. An ‘about me’ that is unique and interesting can spark the interest of someone browsing through many profiles. If you don’t make much effort in present yourself well, and write the bare minimum, you are communicating to potential matches that you aren’t really fully there.
5. Visit the website regularly:
